Bristol-based experimental musician and sound artist Andrew Cooke follows up on his feature in the RTR Sampler Vol.1 back in January as SALTINGS. 'Columbarium' is the latest offering from Andrew, bringing his expansive drones and audio manipulation to tape for the 7th physical release on RTR. The album contains two distinct parts, one for each side of the fluorescent green cassette it is house within; side A features distorted and deeply textural drones that develop from simple tones to harsh cacophony, side B reveals a delicate piano theme that descends into granulated fragments of the source sound.
