DR is the musical project of Braunschweig-based Dominic Razlaff. Having released albums on Elm Records, Singing Birds, Kaarbanik Sound, and stuk Label, DR joins RTR with 'Melancholie' (RTR019). The album begins with a lengthy bell-like drone before opening up to three tracks of processed small instruments and manipulated field recordings. 'Melancholie' makes creative use of low fidelity, and is perfectly suited to be heard on tape.

The album features a vibrant three-panel J-card based on thematic photography by London-based experimental musician and sound artist, Matt Atkins. The peeling paint and stained wood beneath supports the explorations of degraded audio that DR has crafted.
