Scott One of the things I like about Andrew Heath's work is the openness of the compositions--that is, one's imagination is free to interact with the music in any number of ways. "Waddenzee" inspired a narrative of sorts about someone repeatedly getting up throughout the night to anxiously peer out a window, looking for...a storm surge to arrive? a boat to return? Maybe I'll decide NOT to choose so I can imagine more and more... Beautiful! Favorite track: Waddenzee (excerpt).

As Rusted Tone Recordings approaches a year of existence, 2019 begins with a large compilation featuring the work of artists who have been linked with RTR in some way since its launch in January 2018. This sampler is a celebration of the hard work and dedication from all of the artists that released music on the label; it is a preview of the exciting new music coming to RTR in 2019; and, it is a reflection on an invigorating musical journey.

This compilation is available as a free download. RTR is not run for profit; any purchases of this release will go straight towards funding future releases, producing bigger physical runs, and improving the quality of the product.

Thank you to all of the artists involved in making this compilation such a wonderful collection of work.
