about

After being on the RTR radar since the label was founded, Yoshinori Noguchi joins the roster under his minimalist ambient project, silentwave. 'The Scenery That Was Forgotten' is a four-track album showcasing Noguchi's long-form, synthesised soundscapes; deeply reverberant textures that resound and evolve over a prolonged listening period.

Noguchi cites Hakobune (Takahiro Yorifuji) as a major influence on his work, introducing him to ambient music and inspiring the atmospheric and emotive sounds that RTR is proud to support.

'The Scenery That Was Forgotten' is enhanced by the fitting artwork provided by the London experimentalist, Matt Atkins, who provided the abstract imagery that went on to form the album's artwork.

As special thank you to James Osland, for his patience and support with the graphic design process.
